We’re seeking an Associate Acoustics Engineer in Eastern Australia to lead the technical delivery of noise and vibration assessments and inputs for Jacobs projects. The purpose of this role is to provide support within our Noise and Vibration capability in ANZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive acoustic assessments, providing expert advice, and managing the technical delivery of noise and vibration projects across various sectors. You will lead and write proposals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive, plan, and deliver integrated projects. The role will draw on your extensive experience providing advice and acoustic assessments throughout Australia and New Zealand. We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. Here's what you'll need Relevant degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineer or a related field such as Physics or Environmental Engineering, over eight years of applicable experience, A strong understanding of acoustic first principles and be able to demonstrate technical acumen in areas including noise and vibration modelling and prediction, evaluation of results, control of impacts, and monitoring. Proven experience in delivering environmental acoustics-related projects; building related acoustics experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, including report writing and oral communication, Ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. Membership and accreditation from relevant professional bodies (i.e., member of the Australian Acoustic Society and/or Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia and other State professional engineering schemes) is desirable.
